With this exhibition I am interested in exploring the language of West African design motifs. Each and every design engages a conversation, desires a dialogue, and calls upon the viewer to acknowledge the narrative in which it employs. The goal of this collection is to educate and inspire the viewer to reevaluate the way textiles are thought of, and to understand the meaning behind and overall purpose of these textiles.
